I downloaded the files from cisco (ubuntu installation files (with tutorial/student version)) and extracted the files. Yielding a folder Packettracer62Student. I ran the file install found in the folder. Agreed to the EULA, the script downloaded all the needed files. Basically everythings working fine.

I already tried sudo apt-get remove --purge packettracer, and also dpkg -r packettracer. Both of which yielded that the package cant be found. I tried to grep it in case it was named differently, still nothing.

I have a registered version of packet tracer 6.2.0 that I downloaded from the Cisco network academy web site. It is constantly crashing on three different computers. Can someone please tell me how I can capture the crash dump file so I can add it to the bug report.

It just crashed on and prompted to save the dmp file in saves files but you cannot see it no matter how much i search, using name extensions..etc...
